For this year’s edition of the competition we received entries from 10 different schools across the European Union. It was truly great to see the children’s effort and talent in their depiction of the intertwining between the thing most dear to us – our families – and the regions we all live in. It also allows children to explore the link between their personal lives and the larger European community. Through their art, they are able to express their feelings and experiences of being a part of both their family and their region, and to show how these two aspects of their lives intersect and influence each other.
